125th LAT Convention 2011 Fort Worth, TX

Building material suppliers have lost over $4 million in inventory in 2009 & 2010 due to theft.
In response, LAT is helping to coordinate the effort of our members in fighting area-wide building material theft and yard break-ins. The Lumbermen's Association of Texas & Louisianna Crime Stoppers are seeking anonymous tips from any who might have information about these thefts, and they're offering a reward too!
If you have any information that could be helpful, please offer your tips anonymously at 1-866-938-TIPS (8477).

That step is to send in a BOLO (Be On Look Out) report. This report is a Theft Alert to Law Enforcement. These reports are sent to the state police who take these alerts and send them directly to the computers in the squad cars as long as they are in the correct format. The reports must have the police agency and report number. Building materials such as shingles, lumber, etc. are considered cargo. Send in a BOLO even if no vehicles are stolen. It is important to call your local police department and to send in the BOLO immediately. The police have a limited window of time to accomplish important tasks such as obtaining warrants. The BOLO report must be emailed as an attachment in a Word format. To request a Word format version of the report, email craig@lat.org.
